Spring Craft and Activity Ideas
Spring is finally here, bringing with it the warm sunshine, colorful flowers, and the perfect opportunity for fun DIY crafts and activity ideas for your little ones! This season is a great time to get creative, and we’ve got you covered with our free Spring Craft and Activity Ideas bundle! Whether you're looking to create something beautiful for your home or simply spend quality time together, these crafts are perfect for any occasion! Let’s dive into some fun and easy projects to brighten up your springtime!
Spring Craft and Activity Ideas
1. Paint with Peeps Craft
This sweet craft idea is sure to bring joy to both parents and kids! All you need is a pack of Peeps (we recommend bunnies for a clearer shape), paint, and paper! Simply dip the Peeps into the paint and use them like a sponge to stamp vibrant shapes onto the paper. Afterward, add little eyes and noses with a marker to make them extra cute! The best part is, the bunnies create unique, textured prints that are perfect for Easter or spring-themed decorations.
2. Flower Pot Craft
This simple and delightful craft is a great way to celebrate the blooming flowers of spring! Start with one of the flower pots from our Spring Craft and Activity Ideas bundle, a plastic straw, and some paint. Cut little slits at the bottom of the straw and bend them outward to create a "fan" effect. Draw stems coming out of the pot on your paper, and then dip the straw in paint and use it to stamp flower petals onto the tops of the stems! The result? A beautiful garden of painted flowers that your little one can proudly display!
3. Handprint Bunny Craft
This handprint bunny craft is a great way to capture your child's handprint while making an adorable Easter bunny! To create this craft, you’ll need paint, paper, and scissors. Help your child paint their hand and press it onto the paper to make a handprint. Once the print is dry, cut it out, leaving the middle finger off (so your handprint will have only three fingers and the thumb- just trust the process). Fold the thumb and pinkie down to make the bunny’s arms, and then let your child draw a cute bunny face on it. It's a fun way to make a lasting memory while creating something special for Easter!
4. Easter Egg Craft Idea
This craft is perfect for Easter and allows your child to create their own colorful egg (and this one isn’t breakable)! For this idea, you'll need paper, scissors, painters tape, and paint or dotters. Start by cutting an oval shape out of white paper to make an egg. Lay the egg shape onto a larger piece of paper and cover it with painters tape in any direction you like. Make sure the tape extends beyond the edges of the egg to secure it in place. Then, paint or dot inside each section of the egg. Once dry, peel off the tape to reveal the beautiful egg design underneath. It’s a fun and creative way to celebrate Easter!
5. Window Box Flower Activity
Bring the beauty of spring indoors with this window box flower activity! All you need are our free Spring Craft and Activity Ideas bundle, scissors, markers or colored pencils, green paper, and a little imagination! Print and color the flowers from our packet, then cut out a strip of green paper (about 3–4 inches thick should work). Cut vertical slits along the strip of paper to create a grass effect, and tape this to the base of a window. Add the colored flowers to the paper strip, and now you have your very own flower garden on display to welcome spring!
6. Seasonal Craft Board
Do you need a place to put all of your child’s wonderful creations? We've got the perfect solution: a seasonal craft board! This can be as simple or as elaborate as you like, and it’s a wonderful way to showcase your little one’s artwork. We found a cute corkboard and added our Spring craft borders to give it that extra seasonal touch! All month long, you can fill the board with your child’s art to make them feel extra special, and it also gives you an organized space for everything they bring home from school or create at home!
