April Crafts for Kids
April is the breath of fresh air parents with littles desperately need. After long months inside with cold weather, little signs of spring are finally popping up everywhere, and kids are SO ready for something fun and hands-on! If your home has been feeling a little cooped up after winter, this is your sign to bring in some fresh, fun, and crafty learning! That’s exactly why we love these April crafts for kids! They’re the perfect mix of creativity and learning, without extra planning or stress!
At Playground Press, all of our April crafts are designed to be:
-
Print-and-go (no prep required)
-
Made with simple household materials (get as creative or simple are you choose)
-
Flexible for different ages and learning levels
-
Rooted in real learning and real-life connections
This month, we’re leaning into all the good stuff: Easter, Earth Day, springtime, and weather, with crafts that kids will love and that sneak in meaningful skill-building along the way.
And something extra fun?
Some of our crafts this month are designed to pair along with a book! You can absolutely still do each craft on its own, but if you’re looking to turn it into a more complete homeschool lesson or extend the learning a little further, we’ve included everything you need to easily pair it with a read-aloud! It’s a simple way to connect hands-on creating with reading, writing, and meaningful conversations, without any extra prep on your end.

Let’s jump into the crafts!
April Crafts for Kids

Great for fine motor practice (cutting + gluing)
-
Easy, low-prep activity for younger learners
-
Perfect quick craft for Easter or spring days at home
