This activity pairs a meaningful writing craft with a guided mini lesson designed to accompany a read aloud about protecting the Earth. The included guide provides before, during, and after reading prompts to encourage thoughtful discussion and reflection.
Children will write a letter to the Earth sharing ways they promise to help take care of it. Their writing is placed on a round writing page and topped with a cut-out Earth craft, creating a thoughtful Earth-themed project to display or keep.
While this activity is designed to pair beautifully with a read aloud mini lesson, it can also be used as a standalone writing craft for Earth Day or spring learning.
