What You’ll Need:

  • 1 bottle (4oz) of white school glue

  • Shaving cream (not shaving gel—trust us, there's a big difference!)

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda

  • Contact lens solution (this acts as the activator)

  • Pink or red food coloring (to make your slime extra festive)

Recipe and Steps:

  1. Start with Glue

Pour the entire bottle of 4oz white school glue into a bowl. This will be the base for your slime, giving it that classic stretchy consistency we all know and love.

  1. Add Baking Soda

Stir in 1 teaspoon of baking soda. This helps give the slime structure and helps it form into that puffy, soft texture.

  1. Add Color

Pick your favorite Valentine’s color (pink, red, or purple are perfect!) and add a few drops of food coloring into the mix. Stir until the color is evenly distributed, and watch your slime start to change color! You can even add glitter for extra magic!

  1. Add Shaving Cream

Now for the secret to making this slime extra puffy and fluffy: shaving cream! Add a full cup of shaving cream into the bowl. It’s important to use shaving cream and not shaving gel—shaving gel won’t give you the same airy texture! Mix it in thoroughly until you have a smooth, whipped consistency.

  1. Activate with Contact Solution

Stir in 1 tablespoon of contact lens solution. You’ll see the slime start to thicken and become harder to stir as it starts to form. Don’t worry, it’s supposed to look like this!

  1. Knead it Together

Once the slime starts to come together, the fun part begins! Put a little contact lens solution on your hands and knead the slime. The more you handle it, the fluffier and smoother it will become. Keep kneading until it’s no longer sticky and has a perfect, puffy texture!

  1. Enjoy Your Valentine’s Day Puffy Slime!

Now you’re ready to play with your puffy Valentine’s slime! Feel free to store it in an airtight container to keep it fresh for future playtime!

Puffy Slime Notes

  • Shaving Cream Only: Remember, this recipe works with shaving cream, not shaving gel. The cream gives the slime its signature puff and fluff, while shaving gel will not achieve the same results.

  • Consistency Tips: If the slime is still a bit sticky after kneading, add a tiny bit more contact solution. A little goes a long way to perfect the consistency!

  • Not Edible: While it might look good enough to eat, this slime is not edible, so keep it away from your mouth!
